@Nzoric, what do you think about the Sennheiser HD 518?
@Sheik Yerbouti These ones are more heavier on bass than 558. They are not all that different, out of the 5x8 series, 518 has most bass, 558 is most neutral and 598 has more mids and highs.

But If you want to take them to anywhere besides home, they are a very bad option because they are open cans so they don't block out much sound and anyone could hear what you're listening to. Not to mention, the jacks are 6.3mm instead of 3.5mm so you'd have to have the adapter plugged in too...

To be honest though, I wouldn't go for an open back set of headphones, at least mid-range anyway for listening to metal/rock etc. They are good at making things seem open but not so good for metal etc as you could imagine.

A couple of others I'd suggest you look at.. AKG K550, Shure SRH-940 and Grado headphones.

Yea, that's what most of the reviews I read suggested. I really wanted to get the Audio Technica ATH-M50, but I couldn't find it on sale here anymore and saw no chance of after sales service of any sorts in case I imported it. So I decided to go for the HD 558. I'm gonna use it at home for movies, music and gaming while I'll use my a-Jays Three for outdoor use.
