One of my friends who is studying in Berlin at the moment picked up possibly the greatest Jew joke ever. Worrying that it came from Berlin

"So the other night I met a Jewish girl when I was out. After buying her a couple of drinks and smooching around I asked her for her number. She then proceeded to roll up her sleeve.."

No seriously, the people he's hanging with a worrysome. He wrote that after he cracked a few of those jokes one of the other guys got all serious and said

"Please can we stop with all the WW2 jokes? My grandfather died in a KZ camp".

Everyone proceeded to feel bad and got quiet, he then went on

"Yeah, he got up one morning well knowing that it would be his last day at that place. He went outside to start working. Sadly he slipped and fell off the guard tower"

Seriously though, how many of current 20something year olds now know squat about Maggie Hatcher, all they know is some famous woman/former head of state passed away. One that had been bit on the downlow for a long time now, despite her "lasting" legacy.
