But why shouldn't someone get paid to help? Are you some kinda commie? Too above having to pay someone to work for you? Well welcome to the reality of just about every employee on the planet.

Unless you change your own motor oil and churn your own butter, I have to call you on not knowing how labor makes the world go around. By that token, you could never eat at a restaurant because someone would have to cook food for you, let alone serve it to you.
I don't believe in cars and accordingly I have no drivers license, nor do I expect to get one in my life.
You can call whatever you want. I do have a somewhat detailed knowledge of how labor makes the world go around and people who pay other people to clean their toilets is far from the worst. What stands is still that it intuitively seems terribly wrong to me, and since I believe in a somewhat uniform set of moral intuitions as being the right ones I will spare no opportunity to tell you what I think is wrong and why.

But one of the big problems I saw with Aaron Swartz was that he couldn't allow himself to be served by a flight attendant to get him a glass of water because effectively he mentally disgraced what she did for a living. It was a form of arrogance and superiority disguised as egalitarianism.
If you're going to disgrace that, you may as well disgrace every Michelangelo work of art supported by the Medici.

I'd rather not debate this in specifics as my knowledge on Swartz is pretty limited, too limited to make counter examples and so forth. Instead I'd rather make it more universal and ask you a question:
Why have 'we' completely killed the idea of a person so morally clean that they're prepared to make large concessions on their own welfare or luxory, so they don't contribute to something they believe is fundamentally corruptive? I'm not saying Swartz was like this, but your instant labelling of him as a douche rather than a morally flawless person does lead the way for some thoughts on this.
Also, we're not in the renaissance anymore. That's the entire point of new ideas to change certain things which should no longer be applicable.

I do realize that public transportation isnt as evolved everywhere to become a complete substitute for cars, but how about we start investing in that instead of developing new weapon systems, new engines to make our cars go even faster. Furthermore, oil is fucking dirty as hell. Were actively supporting viscious regimes over the world through our politicians and their lack of courage to change. The very countries we get our oil from in turn suffer major social problems as a direct consequence of oil profits, then we send money for refugee camps and food

Plus, poor people in Bolivia constitute the majority of the population. They voted for a lower class friendly president but he's just too retarded to help these people.

I know, as is the situation in every country where corruption and poverty runs amok. Now tell me, is the long term solution to the problems of Bolivia that the poor keep cleaning houses and toilets for generations to come, or would everyone - including the middle class you claim is overtaxed - be better off if poverty was dealt with to the extent of everyone being able to pay taxes and still have food to put on the table?

He's a douche because he acted like he could never impose himself on another human being, but in fact what he was doing was impose his own judgements on what others choose to do for gainful employment. Someone as benign as a flight attendant ultimately became part of an untouchable caste system in his eyes, because she debased herself by taking money (a salary) to pour water for thirsty people on a jet where he was a passenger.
Instead of honoring the dignity of working for a living, he stripped that dignity away and made it something shameful... all under the pretense that equality means that nobody should wait on another human being as if they were insufferable slaves. His attitudes effectively turned her into a leper.
Or, in other words: if I clean a toilet and help feed my kids by doing so, who are you to judge who I am and what I do for a living? At least I am not on welfare and I am adding productive value to the world in the process.

Not every country is in the same situation for the same reasons. I guess that you should know how it is in Bolivia and especially in my region where I feel like a foreigner due to people traveling from the other side of the country to work here... The markets are filled with these people, yes, they're indians, they're dirty all the time, they pollute the city with trash, they're uneducated felonies, they're abusive and they don't pay taxes when they're supposed to, they take other people's lands... It's a cultural thing. I really I wish they could be wiped out.
