So...I have business idea for a website. Tonight my friend is taking me to dinner so I can go over the idea with him, to be honest I am a little nervous about it because there are websites "similar" to what I want to do but not exactly so I think I can make this idea successful. If he likes the idea I move forward with making the business plan because he would be my investor (guy is a 8 digit millionaire) so obviously he would make something off of it if it's successful.

1.) I'm nervous
2.) Never made a business plan
3.) Other sighs similar to it.

Any one here know how to make business plans? :D

(and its not a porn website you fuckers)
Done it lots of times. You can find templates out there to follow: unique value proposition, the competition, how you can market it, key audience(s), what it takes in money and people and time to pull it off, major risks, etc. Fortunately the guy is your friend, so the risk is lower if you go into deeper details. But you're going to need to get serious about a plan if you're ultimately plan to get serious about the idea.

What [if] do you need help with?

At my [old] student job I've pretty much done nothing but analyze different markets and their growth potential.
Well, for one I've never written a busines plan. And two, I'd need to see how much the start up costs would be for the website which I have no clue about. :D

Basically, all I have is the idea but not a clue where to start.

I've been looking at templates but everything is for a specific business, I guess which requires me to change the wording which is easy to pinpoint in the format which I have found plenty on.

I'm serious enough about it to make him take me to dinner so I can talk to him about it. My biggest competion would be ustream & livestream methinks.

Hey guys!

Hustini, did you have your interview for your job already? How did it go?
hey there,

no not yet. i am still waiting to set it up. the director of the company had to change her travel time to DC to only one day versus the whole week so the time window obviously wouldn't work for her to do what she needs to do and meet the candidates.

so hopefully i will know more about "when" this week. Thanks for the follow up :)

Kool. But if it's online and it's streaming. I can already tell you that the market is huge (no apparent limit for growth) but it's expensive as fuck to start up due to the price of reliable and fast servers and don't expect loyal customers, they will leave instantly if your servers fail + research ad-revenue potential.

But I like your entrepreneurship, Husta

I myself have invested a minor sum in an online adventure.

Thats a big one. My members would be able to stream audio or video depending on the membership they have.

Can't have an "guru meditation" moments like we do here.

Marty...I will also need to talk to that guy when it comes to crunch time about servers, etc.

The best thing about websites is that are much less expensive to do. Its not like I'm starting a Bain Capital hedge fund. :D

Of course I am, do you want to meet up?
I'll drop by Mikkeler if my schedule allows me.

When will you be in Köpenhamn?
