It still happens in grad school. I am one of those people too, and old habits die hard
I used to do that, then I discovered a more efficient method of research. Made my papers so much easier to write. And I'm talking about 30 page monsters about angst in Africa, farming in the Caribbean, and social circumstances in South America.

Only problem was I had to spend a few hours a week in the library.:sergio:

Dammit, re: Sheik's Facebook purge, my friend just announced her engagement for her second marriage. WHERE'S MY FIRST MARRIAGE. Seriously, we're past marriage and babies and now on to divorce and remarriage. Getting ooooooold.
Tell your man to shit or get off the pot.

I've handled this by weeding out all the friends I had who were not dead beats.
Good idea. From now on, I am only friending people who have no prospects.

Don't worry Buffon is on his way.

Anyways, I've got enough time for nap so I'm out.
Good night!

Yeah, I do research pretty much...all the time. It's just sitting down to write.

I would take some time and write a few paragraphs on the source on a legal pad. Paraphrasing quotes I thought were important, adjusting the information to fit my argument, etc. Then leave page numbers in the margin for reference. By the time I was ready to write, I'd have most of the thinking done. Then again I kind of like writing so long as it's interesting.

Same, when I like the topic and I know I have good stuff to say. Also, when it's in English. In French it can be a lot more painful.

Yeah I had to read a lot of French when I wrote a paper on Haiti's revolution and how it effected it's modern agricultural issues. Translating that shit was a bitch.

This is the worst thing I have ever seen.

Now I know why I don't have ovaries. Because if I did, I would rip them out after seeing this video.

Natural selection must have prepared me for this moment.

I guess if Rebecca Black can whine about the day of the week, this cretin is trying to get a lock on the hot Thanksgiving music soundtrack market. Songs in the supermarket aisles will never be the same...

I'd hit that.

...with a golf club! :(
Or one of my man Nate's shovels.

Say, you could take lessons from Elin Nordegren, Tiger Woods' ex.

Nothing that celebrates over-indulging could possibly be stupid.
:agree: Bingo.

(Though I did see that Hostess went bankrupt today.)

I feel SOOOOO relieved it's not even funny! Yesterday from 3pm till at least 11pm, I was at a friend's house, the house was empty. I decided to go there because I thought I would be able to isolate myself and do my essay that was supposed to be due today at 2pm. Instead I listened to music, kicked it on 'Tuz, smoke an entire pack on my own, had a joint and played with the dog (love that dog, and to say I used to hate those creatures) all afternoon\night long. After an unproductive day, I decided to go home after my friend and his roommates came back, because they got themselves booze and trees. I needed to go home, so I could have a good sleep and wake up at 7am and go crazy on the essay.

So right now it's 8:02am, I saw my email like 5 minutes ago, and the prof gave us an extension during last class (Wednesday, which I skipped) and sent us and email stating that the new deadline was the 19th.
Let this be a lesson: do not do drugs right before an assignment is due.

;)

Check out his technique - it's hilarious
Technique? The dude doesn't know if he's a deck, a Maldini, or a split-fingered fastball.

Yeah, well, the good news is that nobody wants to win the race of the first second marriage. Definitely one for the "meh" list.

I heard about these. They're not actual artists or aspiring ones at that. Rich girls with rich parents go to this company, they pay like tens of thousands and the company makes a music video. They usually write the lyrics too and there's always a black dude thrown in to rap. Good idea tbh.

It's the kind of thing that makes America great.

Ka-ching.

Who says we don't tax the rich? We just pander to the egos of parents and their wannabe princess pop stars. We could balance the budget on the back of that economic model alone without using the dreaded "t" word.
