If I didn't believe it wasn't a key aspect of improving alot of things I wouldn't be studying it.

That's not even the point snoogins. Everything is connected. To say one discipline is more important that the other is silly. History is a base, but it's not application. Still it's very important.

Obviously I was kidding, no bait was swallowed today. I do believe history is important, but I'm not nearly as arrogant about it as my exaggerated post implied - I thought I made that clear with the lame choice of words in it

Word. But do note I find immense humor in a show like Big Bang Theory that actually manages to put the popular hierarchy of sciences in a pop TV show. How math vs. theoretical physics vs. experimental physics vs. chemistry vs. biology all stack up to a perceived sense of order and purity is laughable, but most academics eat that shit up big time.
