Beach if there is one near?

I prefer parks...have some beer and throw some frisbee with your friends or something like that.

But that's mostly because there are not so many good beaches around here.

Googled Finland beaches...they suck

Here is one of the best in Victoria (my state). That's a backbeach (i.e. the water is sea) and is about 2 hours drive from here.

A close good one would be like this:

This is the closest for me, about a 10 minute drive + 5-10 minute walk.

All the beaches up north in Queensland are better though.

Yea they do. But the lakes are pretty cool, I like lakes more than the ocean.

The nearest coastline is that pointy bit that comes in, which is the Severn Estuary. That is over 100 miles away, and is not a beach, just a massive river with mudflats.

The nearest beach is Weston-Super-Mare, which is 120 miles away, so about 2 hour drive Can't exactly just pop there on the way home

So i came to this city down south and met up with an old university friend who i last saw some 4 years ago. Had a fantastic lunch and talked about old days and since we aint in uni anymore the old secrets came out pouring. Before she left she said i had a surprise comming later in the day. At around 9pm i get a text from her telling me to tune into this radio FM station, found out she's a RJ now among other things. She first gave me a nice mention and how awesome the day was and then proceeded to reveal a lot of things we talked about I really do hope not a lot of peeps back from uni live in this city/listen to her show.
