Man what an exhausting week this has been, the end of this week and the whole of next week is going to be even worse, i'm going to be working this weekend as well

i also need to be awake in 3 hours time, for a 240km drive, and work until the late evening. Above all that, i have to prepare for a presentation and a final exam (for my masters).

If i'm still alive by the end of these 10 days i'll be grateful

I usually never ask this on the forum, but I could sure use some love right now.


They fired the 2nd underwriter last week, and I am left to pick up all the pieces. Finish underwriting the stuff that was assigned to her, look at conditions on the files that she approved, as well as work on my own files to underwrite and clear. I have worked every day since LAST Sunday, and I'm on the verge of a nervous breakdown.

It's bad enough that I am constantly sick, but this is making me feel even worse. I'm doing everything I can from either walking out of my job or sobbing, but it's getting very very hard for me to not do either at this point.

I am really at my breaking point. My superiors had no contingency plan whatsoever when they let her go, and now I'm stuck. I can feel myself going into the hospital sooner rather than later.

Sergio, you're hugely important to your company right now. I would let them know what you're feeling and don't be their "yes" man. You're good at what you do and could easily do it somewhere else. You're money baby.

I know her so I don't think she's lying. But what she's doing is just crazy. She wanted it to stop (us texting for over a year like we're together) but she always comes back later when we do stop. Might be funny for her, but it's killing me.

You may be spending your entire life figuring out what you want to do. Some people do. So often the question is what do you want right now, or what's working for you right now.

When I first got out of grad school, I did some long soul-searching during a recession that had me rethink a lot of things about what I liked to do and what I was less interested in doing. It took a long time to get there, and a long time to get a cool job again. But in the end, it was worth it. But looking back the biggest obstacle I overcame wasn't getting my next cool job, it was figuring out what I wanted to do professionally at that point in time with my life.

Not to scare you off, but just saying it's worth giving it the sort of respect a challenge like that deserves.

The situation is eerily familiar to that of one of my best mates. It kinda changed him in a lot of ways, and not all of them good. Like everyone has said, the best thing is to walk away. Else you might end up doing things you yourself don't like. In the long run that can have a devastating effect on you. Besides any girl would be lucky to have you, so you don't need to settle for someone who treats you like that.
