Don't hate on the freebird, me gusta.
Live 20 minute intro FTW!

G Maj D Maj E min E min F maj C Maj Dmaj D maj : repeat for as long as you want and have someone slide up and down the b string - thats free bird. I used to love the song, and the epic tapping solo's etc. but listening to it that much drives you mad...its like dante's seventh circle of hell...it just goes on and on.

No need to school me on how it's played. Simple doesn't mean bad though. We need songs like that to get people into guitar, because it's easy and hooks - after that you can fap to Steve Vai if you feel like it.

Its not simple, most songs use 3/4 chords in the whole song, thats just the intro - theres another 4 sections before the lead breaks, i was commenting on aaron saying about the 20 minute intro.

Yeah, leaving the ATX first thing tomorrow. SXSW is taking over the town now, and you can feel the massive wave of douchebags coming in the air like a Japanese fisherman at Fukushima.

Dude, Steve Vai is NOT someone you use for an example like that. Try Malmsteen, Buckethead or Michael Angelo Batio, but not Steve Vai. He makes seriously awesome music!

Freebird is one simple song to play. I'm self taught so I can't break it down for you in terms of the precise chords - but the song is simple.
