I went through my Grandfathers things recently and found dozens of government files relating to natural resource procurement projects and potential NATO membership.

Mine now :)
I think I have another five years or so before I am able to request my dad's military and NATO files. I'm still not sure if I want to see.

I much as i want to i would never read or pry into secrets of those who passed away. If there are some things that they would like to be hidden i would leave it that way.

This i am saying because i dont want ANYONE to find out about my well kept secrets after i die :D
That's why you should have one friend that's willing to delete all your data on your pc when you die.:D

Canadian military? I doubt that there'll be too much unpleasantness, certainly anything with real strategic significance* is held back under NATO articles AFAIK.

Funnily enough, the fact that he copied sensitive documents is all I have left of my granddad due to him dying in the 70s, very interesting seeing his type-written words and how similar they are to my style of writing though :)

No, relatively high-ranking US military during Vietnam and Gulf War is what interests me. I reckon there is a certain amount of unpleasantness.

It would be very interesting to see his writing style, actually, as I don't think I ever have as an adult.
