Just got totally fucked over in New Vegas. The game autosaved as I was passing through a door, apparently there was a mine on the other side of the door and it killed me. Now whenever I try to load the autosave I blow up instantly.

Something sorta similar happened to me, you remember the robot that helps you at the start of the game? I shot him numerous times till he got pissed so he went after me, i escaped and entered the bar but the fucker kept going behind till he finally killed me.. I loaded the game, i was in the bar and the fucker was still behind me!! He blew off my leg 124215 times before i got bored and started again.

Dude, you have to turn it down to the easiest level possible and wear the strongest armor you have.

Dude, you have to turn it down to the easiest level and wear the strongest armor.

I already tried mashing the button to bring the menu up and use a stimpak before the mine goes off but it doesn't work I die too fast. I also put the difficulty down to the easiest level and I still die in the blast everytime.

Do you have enough time to point the camera toward the mine and disarm it prior to it going off? Or is it a booby trap...

I don't have time to do anything. The game saved as the mine was blowing up in my face.

Nah I just loaded my last save game which was about 2 hours (of gameplay time) earlier than that autosave.

Just means I get to kill all the drug addicts south of Vegas with the hunting rifle again.
