It's amazing what they can do -- remove a kidney in under 5 hours and she's now talking like she just had hey eyebrows waxed. OK, so she's still a bit doped up on pain killers.
I learned that non-smoking women have the highest likelihood of getting sick from anesthesia. Odd that.
And UCSF has been fantastic. I was a grad student doing research in a lab on campus here many years ago. But the staff are all top notch. Stanford gets all the PR, but UCSF is a better medical college and hospital. One of the top 5 in the country, and nobody seems to know it. So she's in great hands.
