Exciting. I want to start one of those as my cash flow is usually very low, but I don't even know where to start.
You work in finance though, right? How difficult can it be?

Just look at your bank statement, your credit card statement, and keep track of everything you buy via receipts. As long as I'm not completely obliterated at a bar I can usually keep track of what I spend on a daily basis without those statements. Then once you have them entered, just average them out and sort each expenditure in categories. You can garner a pretty good idea of how much waste you're creating.

Learning how to count would be a good start.

Yeah that's basically what I do, but I don't keep my receipts- I look at my bank statement online and write whatever I spent down. I guess I just want to be able to make my debt magically disappear.

I'm glad at least I avoided paying taxes this year.
