A mix of both. I had 4 exams just before Christmas too.

Really? That's pretty rough, I only had 5 before Christmas. But the marks for most of my courses depend on 2 exams (including finals) plus one assignment, so I need to make sure I do well on everything. That's why I hate final exams.

I have one exam for each module, either at Xmas or in April/May, but there are also assignments throughout the year that usually count for about 20% of the mark.

So long as they counted how many people were in jail correctly, they are qualified to run the census.
