I call BS. He didn't have to go with Atlantic. He could have taken the Immortal Technique route and said fuck corporate, but instead he sold out.

"Rappers" these days. :rolleyes2

The tracks suck, by the way.

And stay poor? I can't blame anyone for wanting multi-million dollar contracts. I guess he didn't know how little say he would have over his own music.

F&L + The Cool were on Atlantic too, btw.

Actually, listening to it again, it's not that bad. Just not... Lupe.

For a guy who is so intent on rapping about every day issues and staying true to himself and his fans he shouldn't have sold out. Drake did the same thing, he has one more album under cash money and he will leave and join roc nation ( I think)

How is he selling out? It's a bit selfish to expect him not to want more glory and more money, like with footballers or any other professional.
His music always addressed issues in society, it was conscious rap. He spoke for the masses and spoke the truth, he even had a song named "dumb it down" something he refused to do...until Lasers . Can't blame him thought if your fans really want an album give it to them. His best album will be the cool or LupE.N.D depending on how he approaches that.
