Kinda sucks though. Only found a 21.5 pound turkey at the store last week. Usually we get a 25 pounder. Apparently, due to the hot summer, the turks didn't grow much.
But the real reason is that they were complaining about Poulsen's wages.
I've got Heineken, Goose, and a case of my favorite local wine called Tears of Gettysburg. It's really great stuff for around here, only for $12 a bottle. Also threw in a couple Rebel Reds.
Corn bread is the best. I can't really handle gooey stuffing.
I guess they could freeze the turkey, but it would probably be a waste of space. Though I'm trying to get my folks to purchase a freezer unit so we can buy a cow.

I have a case of Spaten biers lying around. My folks have some wine. We're going to the extended family tomorrow evening and they usually have some sort of German bier and wine and stronger stuff.
I have to do a power point on Friday morning and work in the evening so I'll be taking things easy this holiday.

Don't like gooey either. But that's why I don't put any broth in there at all. Throw in a few litres of water in a pan underneath the turkey and you've got plenty of moisture to share between the turkey and stuffing.
Yeah, you can order a cow or part of a cow from some local farmers and they will butcher and cut the cow as you like and deliver it to your home. It's pretty cool.

That's what my uncle does. He buys a cow from a state fair up in Michigan. Always has a tenderloin cooking up for Christmas and New Years. Best loin I've ever had.
