The system has been f*cked for a generation and nobody wants to sacrifice nor pay the price. They just want a president with a magic wand that can make the world's problems go away. Or at least keep them believing that's possible.

But no magic wand is going to stop the fact that the population is aging, their salaries are too high compared with the rest of the world, they are swimming in debt, and they are consuming this planet to death.

You better stop consuming yourself then, Gregger. No more using anything that requires any commodity in its production or use.

We need a complete overhaul of the way we do things economically, socially, etc. Unfortunately, people are inclined to move the country backward in terms of the rest of the world and continue to plod on into disaster meanwhile insisting that as far as countries go "we're the best".

The problem with that is everything proposed is more government. Government is already broke. Can't keep spending unless we want hyperinflation and a Weimar-style collapse.
