    I know that. What I meant is, how exactly does it rid you of your depression? What are the physical aspects that you experience while you're on it?
    Dude, that is half of my PhD program. It's not exactly a quick answer.

    Let me put it this way. Your brain is basically a battery. Sometimes the connectors get a little corroded and there's a chemical imbalance preventing it from working quite right. So you change the chemistry a little.

    Good news, maybe you don't want to off yourself every morning. Bad news, you don't even know who you are anymore.

    You're talking about a really broad category of drugs. There's umpteenth different ways to adjust brain chemistry with just as many side-effects. It depends on the specific drug.
