So ya, 7 courses is way too heavy.

Oh. I don't think there is really a limit on how many I can take, but then again, there is no real guidelines right now. Really unorganized.

If they're essay heavy, 6 will be too many. Its not the essays per se but the reading you're gonna have to do that will take up all your time.

I dropped the English course, since that would probably involve the most work between reading novels and writing essays. My other three electives are Psychology, Philosophy of Religion, and History of Europe from 1300's-1700's. Experience with any of those?

Psychology is not as good as it sounds, its an extremely dull topic. Unless you have an extremely good instructor that knows how to make it interesting.

History is always a nice subject if you're interested.

I thought 5 was pretty acceptable. Sure it was tiring at times, but all in all, it was acceptable. I did 6 courses a semester a few times, and that was exhausting as hell.

Yeah I'm doing something along the lines of philosphy of religion at the moment. Core readings aren't too hefty but they 'recommend' a lot more. Good idea dropping english. Did english lit last semester was the worst thing I ever did.

Pay attention to courses that are pre-requisites to other courses. The sooner you take those the better.

I'm lucky in that I like what I'm studying at the moment so I have no problem with doing a lot of reading. Even though I'm doing probably only 50% of the recommended.

Likely to have to write essays in both of those. The theory is that you should spend twice the time you do in class, working on stuff out of class. Granted some classes are easier than others so you don't have to work so hard.

Most of the Psychology courses have pre-requisites. I want to take Intro to this semester, and then Social Psychology next, since it requires the intro first. Same with English courses, but they don't sound too interesting, unfortunately.

I'm okay with writing a lot, I actually like writing. I know it's going to be hectic, but most of my classes finish pretty early and I think it gives me enough time to do what I need to.
