Is it a hard job? Do you get really rude customers?

Yesterday I had to call the support line of my cell provider and the girl wouldn't provide me with an answer so I was really mean to her. I regret it though because I know it's not her problem

All the time.

The first 6 months with this job have been hell. Once my shift ended, I couldn't speak to anyone.

Now I'm used to it. I learned not to take my work personally and it got me through 2 years.

I've never had a job at a callcenter, but I know a few mates of mine who did, and they said the same thing. The problem is that the people you get on the line are already annoyed because there is some sort of problem they can't handle themselves.

Just ignore the bastards, good for you that you stopped letting it get to you.

I was fortunate that most of my customers were calm and willing to do what I asked them to. Especially ones that stayed on the phone for more than an hour sometimes!
