Dude, I'm not saying nationality doesn't exist. Quite the opposite really. Nationality has a very big role in international law. You belong to a state, you pay taxes and the state protects you. But that's it. If we're going to get all emotional.. well, you'd have a much stronger connection to your home town.

Besides, if it was really that natural to feel so emotionally attached to your nation, why would there be such a need for indoctrination? I understand that you're being bullshitted into loving America from the minute you're born, but it's nowhere near a natural process. There are countries where that kind of thing just doesn't happen, Andy.

I don't understand what your random comment about the EU has to do with anything. Oh and I'm not thinking about law school, I'm IN law school.
You don't need to take me for an idiot. You know full well that I split our politics and foreign policy from our sporting.

Patriotism in sport is harmless. I'm sorry that we do have these things called nations which participate in international competitions based on nationality, but that's just the way it is.

For someone like myself to turn my back on a sporting culture I've participated in for almost two decades now, only to root for another nation I've never even been to, would be a disgrace not only to myself but also human thought process. I've spent time and money playing and supporting our own game in the states, and others have done the same in their own respective country. For folks to do so, then support someone else, would be completely idiotic.

On the other hand, you have those who do not support their own nation's football at all. A rational human being would want to improve the place in which they live, improve the culture, improve life. That would include improving their sport, both professionally and from a grass roots level. For people not to do so is absolutely idiotic. It's betting against your home.

But then again, this world is filled with wannabes and sado-masochists.

    Any time.

I have no sympathy for folk with hangovers.

If you go out and get smashed, odds are you'll pay for it the next day.

If you can't stand the hangover, there is a very obvious solution.
    I actually like being hungover.
its my fault my mates were putting whisky in my pints?
    You need better friends.

Jesus once said, "Show me your friends, and I'll show you who you are."
Jesus also said, "Tell Mohammed I got the strippers for Buddha's bachelor party."
