Ok fine here's the deal, In Jordan we have the same as you guys 12 academic years have to be passed in order to graduate from high school and thus all the ones born in the year 1991 are in their freshmen year at college while the older ones (you for example ) are in their 2nd year and I still don't get why.

Maybe you folks enter school at an older age than the one here (its 6 in Jordan).

There's a thing that's called Transition Year in the middle of secondary school that's optional in most schools (I didn't do it).
