Dude it is literally insane here. Its like God took a bottle of white out and decided to go berserk :snoop:

It's beautiful...my BEAUTIFUL GF and I went out and did the dirty in the blizzard. BLOOM!! :santa:

We went for a walk to admire the sheer beauty and couldn't help but succumb to the aphrodisiac of a blizzard.

I haven't heard any thunder though, I am kinda curious to hear it as it would be a first for me. How can a blizzard produce thunder?
High cloud tops basically. Think of this storm as a winterized tropical cyclone.

One of my closest friends called me up now (waking me up in the process) to tell me that she'll be leaving the city for good in a couple of days time. Not a good thing to hear early in the morning.

I like how you explain these things. Helps for someone who didn't study it:tup:

thanks again boss
My pleasure, Brohan.

I'm a bit concerned with the dry slot working north over central Virginia. It appears that the accumulation may come to an abrupt end over Southern Maryland, but perhaps not. I think the original low pressure center is transferring energy to the new low off the coast of Virginia, and if that intensifies, then we should start to see some filling in of heavier precip over Northern VA. Think this might be occurring in the last few radar images, and I'm hoping that is correct. Please God, I want more snow.

I had to drive home earlier back from the Ski Resort, and I couldn't see more than 10 feet in front of me. Three inches on the road even with plows coming through periodically. Wind blowing at 15 to 25 mph. Absolute blizzard conditions. Had trouble getting up my hill but after some shovelling, finally got up. This is the worst shit I've driven in, and I've driven in a lot of shit, including ridiculous lake effect snow in Michigan.

BE VERY CAREFUL....THESE ARE THE WORST ROADS I HAVE SEEN....AND I'M A SKIER....

That's right. I have an all wheel drive vehicle and followed a friend who had front wheel drive. It took an hour and a half to get him just a few miles. I then traveled another mile and a half on semi big roads that were not touched at all. My four wheels were spinning and I barely had clearance to make it home.

Amounts will be a little higher than the bands in places and there will be sweet spots that will be approaching 20 inches.

Sorry for what?

Dude I am absolutely loving this. Excited as fuck to see feet of snow around my house. I hope that we get five feet so that I can't leave my house for DAYS... so don't feel bad.

And besides, I got a ski resort right next to my house. This is going to be epic up there.

Oh yeah, I don't have winter tires, although I should. Think I took about 10,000 miles off my baby tonight trying to get up this massive mountain I live on, but it's worth it. The Passat handles VERY well on level roads with a couple inches of snow on them, and surprisingly had enough torque to get me up the hill. Impressive for a 9 year old car, really. Love her.

Beautiful how it seemed like the snow would be ending here, but the transfer of energy to the coast saved our snow totals from obliteration. The precip started to fill in to the South of us in a miraculous, gracious act by mother nature. Now we could see feet more of snow here.
