you won't get it though.

MLS is an embarassment to world football as is the whole American attitude to the sport, present company excluded.
I agree about the attitude but not about MLS, it is still a young league and it is developing at a fine pace. I think we could get it since FIFA wants to boost American interest in the game and there is no better way than hosting the WC. Mainly I hope you are wrong because there are several stadiums that are in contention to host games that I live fairly close to. I really want to see some quality football live because I have only been to two professional matches, a friendly and an MLS game

It;s structure and drafy system are retarded and against what the big nations consider the right way to do a league.

CL>WC for good football.

Yeah, MLS is an embarrassment to world football, especially with all the hooliganism and stadium disasters that take place here. It's sure a joke compared to Irish football.

Sometimes Eurotrash need a good enema to get all the crap out.

I never mention Irleand once, and if you're going to compare the MLS to England Germany, Italy and Spain you'll have to excuse me while i die from laughter.

Edit- for ireland to have a stadium disaster we'd have to have fans in the staidum :D

I agree about the structure being stupid, instead of following a similar method to Europe we seem to have attempted to Americanize it which is stupid because football is very different than other professional American sports and should be treated as such, but not enough Americans realize this.

Yes of course the CL is better quality football than the WC but until they start playing CL matches over here the WC is my best chance of seeing good football

You'll only really get about 8 good matches the entire tourney and you'd have to factor in from the Semi-Final on and the difficulty of getting tickets. TBF though I'd hope for it too were I in your position.

A North and South American international cup would be fun to watch I reckon.

Nobody is comparing it to those leagues. Absolutely nobody. So I'm not sure what you're on about.

It's not that big of a deal. The league needs to gain more fans, so by using the playoff system, you can bring in the fringe fans to watch the big matches. At least they did away with the pathetic shootouts.

And anyways, I wouldn't call it total Americanization either, as the CHUMPions League has a two-legged playoff system.
