Well think of it like this:

Within 40 feet of me are about 50 firearms, now, if they made them illegal, what would you do?

Only the law-abiding citizens are going to turn them in, thus leaving only the criminals with guns.

Also, do you think the manpower exists to go around to everyone's house and take their weapons?
:agree: But even if guns were no longer sold the already bought ones wouldn't be confiscated. Take the assault weapons ban for example, they simply made it illegal to buy them, people who already had assault weapons were allowed to keep them

Thats because they live in poverty, i live an extremely privelidged life compared to many in this country.
but the factors you associate with poverty aren't valid in all cases

most wealthy people have heavy credit card debt and so do students

students with debt that are unemployed would be considered living in poverty? even after graduation?

In Britain, poverty is defined on household income and the resulting implications. I know its different in other countries, the poverty experienced in developing nations is completely different, British poverty is like living as a king compared to how some people live. How is poverty measured in the US?

How old are you and seriously why do you own a gun? I am not going to argue with you, we live in completely different cultures, i just wonder why.
I am 18 which allows me to buy a rifle but I have to wait 3 years until I can buy a handgun. I take my rifle up to a nearby rifle range and shoot targets with my father who has his own arsenal and friends who also have firearms. Some people collect guns as a hobby and show them off at gun shows.

So its like a toy that can kill someone?

Fair enough, as i said i don't know much on the topic, but i figured the people for guns wouldn't be the best place to look for statistics.
The most "hardcore" right to bear arms advocates are actually against the NRA and instead flock to other groups who are for total firearm freedom. I don't really like the NRA because Michael Donut-Eater Moore did expose them for what they are -- folks that take advantage of people and don't live up to their name. That shit in Flint, MI, after that girl died, is absolutely positively horrible.

The manpower could exist if they use the military to do so. But if that would be the case, Martial Law would essentially be declared, and the weapons that they want to confiscate will be used upon them anyway, so there is no chance of pulling that off. If the government would be dumb enough to do that, just like the FEMA Camp conspiracy some think will happen, they might as well commit suicide because 80 million people have weapons here, as opposed to a couple million military personnel. And you know most soldiers won't be cool with going house to house in America.

No, I think the best answer I can give is that I was raised in a completely different culture from your own. I don't expect you to understand it and tbh I can't explain it any better.
I think i understand, you (personally) treat guns as if they were cars - you take them places to use them and you go with other gun users to look at guns? Is that it?

Ha, I like guns but I'm not a gun nut. I have one gun to Texans I look like Ja5per
that doesn't make sense.

Not really but I guess its on the right track. I am not a gun nut at all and my car is far more important to me. I have a gun, they are not a passion of mine

that doesn't make sense.
How does it not? I've been to Texas before compared to its populace I am a tree hugging liberal pussy, well I guess I should have said Andy instead of you:p My point was Texans love their guns far more than I do
