It was fun at Candlestick last night for Barça vs Chivas. There were a lot more Barça fans there than I expected -- as I expected more of a complete Chivas Country overrun.

Barça showing off their silverware, drunk people in frightwigs, a Chivas fan section that beat drums and set off flares and fireworks made me feel like I was almost back in Italy a little, etc.

The woodwork featured prominently in the match, with a lot of denials. While Ibrahimovic was in town training at Kezar Stadium with the crew here two nights ago, for some reason he's not taking the pitch. Which is more than I can say for Thierry Henry, who seemed less into the match than all the fans there.

Danny Alves (why do they keep pronouncing his name "AL-vez", like he's Spanish, when he's a Brazilian "Alvsh"?!?!) was the root of all goals -- from his poor marking on Chivas for the first and his great cross for the equalizer. He was the offensive key for Barça in the match, and he's a fullback!

Which is?

It stopped now, thank God. Although I have a feeling it will start up again in the middle of the night....and of course, wake me up.
A Derecho is an area of storms shaped like a bow, or similar to a bow and arrow. The reason why the area of storms is shaped like that is because they have strong straight line winds pushing through at the center of the system.

That Derecho system actually worked its way down to just East of my area today. It was moving at 70mph!

It seems strange to me for something called Derecho to be shaped like a bow.

Anyway, I'm going to bed.

Edit: I need to buy a new mobile. Feel free to leave suggestions.:D I'll check back tomorrow.
