its a known fact that most companies in europe put a heavy emphasis on work-life balance. its a proven fact that one does not have to work a 40hr/week to maintain "productivity"
its just an arbitrary number as far as i'm concerned. its so tuned that companies like Google and Apple have adopted euro-management techniques for their employees here in the U.S.
not subjecting them to the moronic standards set by years of moronic corporate mgmt techniques and requirements.
