I have most symptoms of the Mexican flu and I have been in a plane only two days ago. What annoys me most is the fever (39°C). I think that somehow the malaria has made me very susceptible to fever. It's always so damn high when I'm sick. I've been shivering all day. I hope it's gone tomorrow, because otherwise I have to go to the lab and I don't really fancy that, especially because I know I probably don't have the Mexican flu.

It's called the Mexican flu over here. I think the WHO wanted people to call it the Mexican flu too. Anyway, I really hope I'm better tomorrow, because spending my saturday doing tests is not my idea of fun.
I hope it's not and that you feel better soon.

I'm sure some others around here don't exactly share my view though. :p

True :D.

Perhaps you've heard about Rock Werchter. It's one of the biggest music festivals in Europe. Anyway, apparently someone must have the flu, because today there were already thirteen new cases in Belgium, all people who had gone to Werchter. This thing does seem to spread rather easily. It doesn't look lifethreatening, but the flu is always annoying.

I haven't heard of Rock Werchter but the biggest music festival in Ireland is on this weekend. It's called Oxygen. I bet there will be someone there that has it.

Yes, the people who are dying all seem to have serious underlying illnesses.
