Just finished watching HBO's John Adams part 1. Good ish except I couldn't stand the woman playing John Adam's wife; that worried look on her face throughout the entire program was annoying as hell.

Yeah, I would really like to know because if she was then it's brilliant acting by her but if that's not the case she really needs to start exploring other facial expressions as an actor.

I think women back then were indeed really timid, sort of non-emotional types. Afterall, it was the husband's job of showing passion for one cause or the other.
Mrs. Adams portrayal is very interesting though. I wasn't aware that she was such an influence in the country's independence. It's like they say "behind every great man is a great woman".

Btw, in the Part I they show that as Adams is leaving for Philadelphia that Mrs. Adams is pregnant and then in Part II she's not pregnant anymore but there's no baby  Did I miss something? It couldn't be Thomas because he's shown as a 4-5 year old and I don't think that many years passed.

Hmm, you caught something I didn't catch. I'm actually not sure about it.

Try to google it and see if you can find an answer.

I didn't find anything online but I went back and checked; when Adams is leaving she is pregnant but the youngest child, Thomas, is not there so it must have been him but the producers failed to 'show' that. Which is weird considering how they keep showing the family living without him during the time he spent in Philadelphia and all that was happening in Boston.

Hmm, good catch. I'm not sure about this. But you've got a lot of memory glands watching this.
