but the point is that someone will have to bend, and its not going to be the consumers. it will be a trickledown effect from the sellers > manufacturers > suppliers > raw material sources. especially in our economic model it would not be us who suffer the greatest. supply and demand can only take you so far. consumers can cut out the need for certain products in times like these thus ending most company's existences

Well, I suppose if they don't have jobs, they won't need to be buying any gasoline, that's for sure. :pumpkin:

That sucks. For a big and fast developing country such as India it really deserves better roads. The non-motorway roads in Pakistan suck probably just as much as those in India though, not because no one takes care of them but because every known thing on the planet with wheels travels on it but the trucks are the real menace. There seems to be no restriction on the weight they're allowed to carry so they just keep fucking up the roads.

I have some pictures of the motorway that I took myself.

First two were taking on the way to Islamabad
3rd is how the roads in Islamabad look
4th one is on the way to my hometown
5th one is inside my hometown.
This is a pretty good video of random scenes in Lahore:

Good stuff, Zé.

And yes -- the non-motorway roads in India look about the same to me. :p
