I'm not sure how much browsing you'll be able to do will depend on the plans you get thr... browsing experience is certainly better than most other phones I've used... You get GPS, nokia maps and the lot...
There are a couple of low key but useful features which I love about the phone, like tap twice to make the phone silent when it rings, or if the phone's on the table just turn it over to achieve the same result...

What exactly are you looking for in the phone you want? I'm not as good as Dru is at these matters, but I think I can give you some tips :)
GPS? damn, that little thing has GPS? :D That little silent feature you speak of is lame, on mine all you have to do is to press a button on the side of the phone and it goes silent.

Hmm...well I'm really used to having a palm now so I want something that has some PDA functions (touch screen would be nice) but at the same time I'm sick of having a bulky and heavy phone so I want something slim and light.

I'm looking at the HTC Touch Diamond 2 right now, looks hot!

Its not lame  Even when the phone is in your pocket you can tap it twice n it goes silent... no need to search for the little button on the side :D

HTC Touch Diamond 2 is hotness... the only thing missing is a keypad... I'm not a big fan of only touch interface, even though browsing would be great on it, texting will be a little cumbersome... Also try reviews for Samsung S8300 UltraTOUCH... I have just seen the ad and it looks great...

Just saw a review of it, looks nice. Not a big fan of the outside look of it (the colors were very meh) but the features were very nice. It did run kind of slow though but I guess it makes up for it by having an 8 mega-pixel camera. Btw, does India have 3G?

ps: I also looked at the Sony Ericsson Xperia X1, looks pretty good as well.

The national telecom company (BSNL) just started 3G a few weeks back.. I think the others will follow suit (not sure if they already have)...

There was a lot of hype about the Xperia... I'm not sure if it clicked, certainly not in India... It has very good features...

Interesting, there's an unwanted iPhone in my household and I was wondering if I should give it to the guy to crack it, or Jailbreak it myself... I think it was a 3G..

Anytime bro... btw I've to say I'm pretty impressed by the highways in Pakistan... I've just seen the pics and they look awesome..
Ah yes, the lovely Motorway, as they call it. It's really impressive; when you're on it you can't even tell you're in Pakistan...it's like you've left the country lol. It's the only good thing Navaz Sharif ever did. You don't have that in India?

I'm not sure... I think Delhi and Pune have good highways... The roads in Bangalore are shit... I think shit is too lenient a word for the roads here...

That sucks. For a big and fast developing country such as India it really deserves better roads. The non-motorway roads in Pakistan suck probably just as much as those in India though, not because no one takes care of them but because every known thing on the planet with wheels travels on it but the trucks are the real menace. There seems to be no restriction on the weight they're allowed to carry so they just keep fucking up the roads.

I have some pictures of the motorway that I took myself.

First two were taking on the way to Islamabad
3rd is how the roads in Islamabad look
4th one is on the way to my hometown
5th one is inside my hometown.

I'll upload them on here instead. Check for it in a few mins.

Me too man, I'm glad they're finally doing something about it. Speaking of visiting, I'm planning on being in India in early January inshallah. My cousins and I are thinking of going on a tour of some cities: Amritsar, Agra, Mumbai, Jodhpur/Udaipur and perhaps even Nepal but not sure about that. I don't know how far it is to Bangalore but if you can make the trip up and tag along with us it'd be fun to meet up  Awr jabb Pakistan tumnay ana ho to tumharay paas ek rehne ki jaga hogi ;)
