Hey Greg, haven't seen you for a while.

What are you up to & did you get that job that you were after?
You noticed! :D

I've actually been out of town for the past week. Visited my parents and brother back in Chicago for about a week. Internet access was a bit rough to come by then, but now I'm back home.

Still a Man of Leisure in the Society of Leisure. But I have another interview in a few hours. Some definite changes going on in the market in my business right now (Internet media, etc.): the public companies have been quiet with hiring, but a lot of the private start-ups behind the scenes have been ramping up in the past few weeks.

Meanwhile, I have a few things going. Don't want to jinx anything, but it's looking pretty promising over the next month. With someone at my level of experience (and expected salary :greed:), these things take time...

I already had one offer that had no salary. Early stage company in fundraising to get to where they can offer salaries. So I go back to the Simpsons episode where Homer gets paid in company stock that comes off a toilet paper roll. That sort of thing ain't cutting it with me this time around.

Thanks for asking, Dusan.

Jacob Zuma? He doesn't exactly make George W Bush look intelligent, that's for sure.

Greg that egg head is definitely dumber than Bush trust me.When on stand for his rape trial, the lawyer asked if he used a condom to avoid any std's or possible aids he calmly said he didnt worry about it because he had a shower after the sex.Great stuff.

Good luck with the interview Greg.:xfinger:

 Ouch.

I guess the only good news is that he didn't say that he cut off the head of a chicken and glued its feathers to his penis. :shifty:

Any juicy bits we can expect for the WC next year with that bloke in office??

Good luck with the interview Greg.:xfinger:
Thanks! :)

:D Nah not much although the local organizing commitee here are absolutely useless.Their entire marketing approach sucks,i mean they're supposed to create big hype for the WC afterall it is the biggest sporting event in the world.

As for the job situation ive been down that road bro,it just sucks that you had to be in this situation at this point in time.Just be grateful for small mercies like having a supportive wife.Divorce statistics are shockingly high here, ppl just cant take the tough times.

It was for this part you'll instantly think of him as your kid brother, stop making fun out of it, WendyWood. :D
Your joke has expired you fvcking pixie.:D

It's not good, but, as long as it's temporary and you're prepared for it, it's not that bad. After all, I basically made the decision to lay myself off at my last company. :D

Life always throws something f*ed at you, whether it's a job loss, the loss of a loved one, an illness or injury, a major problem with a spouse or girlfriend, etc. So going through something like this once in a while (as long as it's not constant!) is just life -- learning to cope and adjust with something in your life that's screwed up.

It's good for brushing up on your life coping skills. :)

Thats pretty fvcked up,i wonder how the Obama administration will handle this once it spirals completely out of control.
I'm not sitting around hoping Obama will do something. I'm waiting for something within Pakistan to happen. People hated Musharraf because he wasn't "democratic" or what ever but he dealt with the Taliban cancer pretty damn well.

Pak has been on a knife's edge of a failed state for a lot longer than I've been comfortable with, and I'm not even Pakistani.

It's like Pak is taking their lead from a number of African nations... :shifty:
I think we talked about this once before. Pakistan has managed to survive through a lot of disparities. I don't see it as a failed state but its sure heading towards it right now but all nations have at one point or another.

Pakistan was much more stable under Musharaf than it is right now... Taliban moving towards Islamabad causes trouble on one end, India will most probably move more forces to the border... This region is gonna be a ticking time bomb soon enough...
