why? the demand is still there isn't it?
They just haven't kept up with the the technology and for a while were putting out really rough rides for way to much cash. I know it's probably not cool to say, but bikers actually look for comfort in their rides. I think it had something to do with a triangular exhaust vs a circular exhaust. They've gotten a lot better in the last 5 or so years, but buying a Harley for a while was a bit of a joke.

They make all kinds. If you mean by "sport bikes" dirt bikes, no they don't make those. But they have bikes that are similar to what Dru likes and they have bikes that are traditionally styled road bikes.

I think it was 2000 when the BMW motorcycle convention rolled into Charleston. I got a good education. It was like Sturgis for Beamers.
