I guess it should work fine. But the drive doesnt have it's own Power adapter. so it pulls all the power from the laptop itself, and it will drain out you battery a lil faster. and it *may* cause problems with other USB devices connected also.

I'd suggest you go for it and check if it works fine, and if it eats battery life. if you dont like it, then go for one which has an external power source.

Thanks! I did some investigating and I discovered that my hard drive is SATA. I also discovered just now that was robbed with my laptop. I paid $800 for it over here and the cost is only $115. It was a more than a year and a half ago however...
