I'm in a hotel so I can (for once). Do you guys have inverters at home?

I dont know what an Inverter is,but we have a 1000 watt UPS (Uninterrupted Power Supply).We can swtich lights on it,turn fans on,run the PC etc,but no TV.

There's been no electricty here for the last 1 hour because of the load shedding.Everything is running on the UPS.

Yea that's what I meant, some people call it inverter for some reason. At my grandmothers place we have it hooked up to the TV but once the power goes out so does the power for the cable provider so it was useless.
