Tell them it's a meeting in a field to play the oboe, bassoon, violin, and double bass.

I bet you could get 8 a side out of it

the funny thing is that there are at least 8 decent football players at the school, but only three of us that are guaranteed to show up for any game, and one of the three has a fucked up knee

Rarely. But I don't get drunk.

You know people who buy Diet Coke because they're too good for Coke? It's that kind of thing. The guy who buys a Ford Whatever Turbo so that he can look down on his neighbor who doesn't have the turbo.

Macs may be a small improvement over Windows, but it's far from the miracle it's hyped out to be. Beyond that, it's the same exact corporate culture, the same single company that tells you exactly what you're going to use and you better like it.

I wouldn't say they are all hype, but they are mostly hype. As in the hype takes about 80% of the attention in any discussion, and once you miraculously get past that you can actually talk objectively.
I didn't get a Mac because of the hype. I wanted one because my father had his for a number of years and did not have one single problem with it whatsoever. They're just better built machines and so much damn easier to use, especially when running several different programs at a time.

If I cared about marketing I'd watch the EPL, but I don't.
