Now that the state has rested its case for the prosecution, I'm on a court break for Yom Kippur, some administration tomorrow, and Columbus Day Monday. Courts get more days off, I swear... I'm surprised we didn't get yesterday off for the Hindu Dussehara Festival (especially given that it's a criminal court).
But now that I am out among "normal" civilians again, most of the people I come across look like either potential witnesses, victims, or felons.
I'm even starting to talk like a courtroom attorney.
I need Pado to slap me around before I start asking, "Ma'am, can you identify this shoe? ... Did you ever give permission to Mr. Pado to possess this shoe?"
