Remote sensing is probably one of the most efficiently used yet, ultimately boring application of physics. On the plus side, it was also used to make the case for WMDs in Iraq

it is, and i'll admit that it i find it more interesting than most, but yeah, it does fail a bit in trying to teach too many disciplines
but it can lead you into many diverse career paths which is never a bad thing. a friend of mine studied CE with some enviromental concentration for his undergrad and 2 years after graduating he is working for some environmental lobbyist for the state of texas.

i'm pretty sure that your degree plan is more beneficial since it has the business courses which pay off big when entering the real world
