My roommate bought me the crappiest stuff. Not the stuff on the list I made for him. I have organic chocolate chip cookies which just tastes like shit and marshmallows. He also bought chocolate and pickles. Who buys that stuff? So now I have to go tomorrow after classes to buy groceries.

I don't think he has ever been alone in a grocery store. I was the one being lazy though because it was my turn to pay but I didn't feel like going with him since I'm studying for my exam.

Organic chocolate, IMO, is primarily crap.

Even I wouldn't buy that nor pickles, and my wife does all the cooking.

There you have it!

When I go there, I always look for creative stuff to buy. When I'm at home and don't have to do much, I don't mind cooking. It's better than doing calculus.

Organic chocolate tastes well..organic I guess. Some things are not meant to be made that way. I learned my lesson though. Never said a college male to the grocery store.

Yeah I think of new foods to cook when I go to the grocery store and good snacks. I primarily avoid organic foods unless its like vegetables, etc. Cookies are not meant to be organic. Cooking is my only break from my schoolwork and it def is better than WestLaw

Organic chocolate, I believe, primarily suffers from the same fate of decaf coffee. The people selling it think you're issues-driven first, and flavor-driven second. Which results in, well, something where flavor is an afterthought.

I'm sure there's good organic stuff out there. But for now, most of it is targeted to people who will put up with a second-rate product just to make themselves feel they've succeeded at checking off the "organic" checkbox.

When I go to the store and see some "organic" product, I don't bother looking twice at that stuff.

I don't care. I'm going to buy the good stuff because I'm not a nut freak. This organic stuff reminds me of how stupid vegetarians are (no offense).

I think it's good that people care about where their food comes from and how it's made. Most of us are absolutely clueless. Which gives the producers every incentive to cut corners and make the most lame, scary, and abominable crap on the planet (see: China and melamine).

The problem is when people act as if 'organic' is a flavor. If quality isn't built in as the primary component, it doesn't matter how many feel-good labels you've got. The thing is crap and falls apart in the marketplace.

Yeah I buy the good stuff if it happens to be organic I will accept it.

Organic is just the new buzzword. Everyone is using it. For example, my cookies are 70% organic. You can call almost anything 70% organic. Organic has become the new fat-free.
