20k night ride? What is this you speak of?
Charleston, WV has this infatuation with going all out in the Christmas light department. My dad's bike club does this ride through town one a year to look at the lights. Apparently it is pretty relaxed, but it's cold and rainy today and I haven't been on a bike in two months. Add to that the fact that I felt like dog nuts yesterday and I'm not too happy about the proposition.

I may just use Christmas shopping as an excuse, even though I think it's still way too early to Christmas shop.

i just started my investment portfolio about 3 weeks ago with oppenheimer.

i went with the Oppenheimer Moderate Investor Fund which is comprised of the 4 basic allocations

Fixed income >> 45%
core bond fund
champion income fund
limited-term gov. fund
international bond fund

U.S. Equity >> 35%
capital appreciation fund
main street fund
value fund
main street opportunity fund

International Equity >> 10%
global fund

Other >> 10%
Commodity strategy total return fund
real estate fund

i elected to go with an A & C mix for tax purposes and to level my low-moderate risk investments, hopefully it will flex with the short-term price flux's

i'm putting away about $650/month in this "Fund of Funds" investment, hopefully patience will pay off and i can bank in a few or at least have a good road paved for my future.

Interesting. Not sure about many of those components, but bonds are the way to go right now to stay risk averse, unless they're municipal bonds and some corporate bonds.

you don't have to get me anything this year risa :D
:cookie: Lol well you can have a cookie for being so sweet, it's the least I can do. ;)

Did some shopping yesterday for some relatives back home, paid like 275$ and I just realized how painful it is.
Yeah it really bites when you realise just how much you've depleted you bank account after Christmas.

Yikes you probably should not risk getting a relapse. I am glad that you're feeling better though. :)
