I'm going to a friends wedding in San Antonio in June. I'm contemplating whether I should fly or road-trip down there. I used this gas estimator + car rental (w/ a discount) and flying is only $10 more. I'm just not sure if the route is worth the drive

What you think, please discuss.
Unless you're a huge fan of road trips and want to see part of the country along your way, fly. Even if some 35 year-old Gary Busey look-alike sticks his hand down your pants.

East Coast to San Antonio. Yes, very worth it.
Yeah? The route will take me through Knoxville, Nashville, Memphis, Little Rock, and then Dallas where I'm staying with family.

I love road trips but I've never been in those states or even that region so I wasn't sure if it's worth it.

Those are all pretty cool cites and the geography of the region is really neat. You get the Smokey's, flat farmland, more hills, rivers, and if you buy Paul Simon's Graceland CD the trip may have a little meaning.

So that's where the Smokey Mountains are :D Cool. I thought Paul Simon had made some kind of an audio recording of the regions history but it's some folk music that'll put us to sleep :p
