Feeling foolish after attempting to open up a bag of chips and then having it explode in front of about 60 people while I was sitting in the union. I left FM at home so Ill just have to study a suppose.

Yeah, it's going to be insane up there, very jealous of what they'll receive. They are actually in the midst of a very complex situation where they are on the backend of a low pressure system heading Northeast from the Southern states that will contain a lot of Gulf moisture with it. But the storm will be so intense that it will whip up winds originating from the North, slamming into Chicago over Lake Michigan, thus creating a Lake Effect Snow enhancement. So basically, the Chi will have snow coming at them from all angles. A perfect storm for blizzard conditions.

Enjoy it, Deneb.
And here I was just watching the Onion News TV show on IFC last night reporting on the "Snowpocalypse"...

thanks Andy, i am stacking up on goodies should be fun
Could be worse. In Washington, DC/Baltimore, they just hint at the S-word and people stock up for nuclear winter and start eating cockroaches to conserve.

Just got promoted. Feels good.
Congrats! It's going to be a change with your coworkers though. You can't fraternize with them like "one of the guys" anymore.

I have a few relationships of people I worked with that had to wait until I left work (or they did) to be more friendly about it.

Who doesn't love an explosive bag of gag chips?

I don't understand why people get all freaked out by driving in the snow. It's fun. Just take it slow, don't overly exert the engine unless you have to, don't slam on the breaks, and you'll be fine. I drove home in three blizzards last year and I can't wait to do it again.

At least you know what's going on with snow.

Mate off mine wrote his car off the other day swerving off the road to avoid an earlier accident when he hit a patch of black ice.

There's something socially strange in some places. Like a siege mentality. It's as if snowfall suddenly institutes martial law. I don't know how half these people would cope with what's going on in Egypt...

Black ice is the tricky stuff, that's for sure.
My dad broke his femur a couple of weeks ago walking on it. :frown:

The worst part is when people who aren't confident driving in snow go out in it and then fuck up everyone's day. In DC last week people were stuck on Georgia Ave for 12 hours. I couldn't believe that shit.

Damn, ouch. I guess it's better than his prized Cadillac.
