I'm paraphrasing here, but I think he said something to the effect of "I simply cannot accept that kind of money when I can do absolutely nothing to help my team this year"

To be perfectly honest. West Virginia is Texas' little brother.

Texas is bigger and flatter with more Mexicans, Chinks, and black people. And wants to build a wall around itself.

West Virginia is smaller with more mountains, less Mexicans, Chinks, and black people (though numbers are growing). Doesn't need to worry about keeping folks out due to its mountainous terrain and shitty economy, but if in Texas' shoes would also be thinking about a wall.
