You could start by digging those oil reserves in Texas and California. Much cheaper I say but as long as Saudia offers theirs no need to do that I guess.
Even if we do drill here the stuff still gets priced at the NYMEX and the drillers will only drill to the point at which it is most profitable to do so. That's why some of these calls of "drill drill drill" aren't really going to solve problems because you can't make firms extract more than they need to compete.

Although I do think we should be giving the Gulf contracts to American companies, not the damn Chinese or BP, yet the clowns in Washington allowed it.

I am a Government Underwriter. Actually, I've been one for 8 years, but this new position is potentially closer to home, at around 15K more per year, better benefits, and I will be going to training in New Hampshire to get my Veterans Administration Certificate, which wll allow me to do loans for Veterans and Military Personell
