Weird stuff to read in the last couple of pages of this thread. That surely cant be the whole story. Really odd way to deal with whatever sitaution this is (if its true to ask so many to step down in one sweep).

you know what Burke,i am disappointed you dragged this into here

way to go show your sensible side

Why what? Only a few of us can be really unbiased in our judgments and decisions and you are one of them. I believe that, everyone believes that, even Osman has to believe that. You are accepted among the members even though there is almost noone you haven't made fun of. And you are not even a Juve fan. It says a lot and means that you have done/are doing your job perfectly even if you really didn't intend to do that :p
cheers for that Hoori, now only if i could find the member who hounded Burke about his conduct only a few days ago after they took exception to his attitude towards fellow member

I cant really comment without knowing what was said (and isnt my bussiness, but off the bat seems real odd)), but I just meant as a general point that unless things was done and dusted like that, you should perhaps talked with them in private and ask for explanations (unless you done that already) or such before going public with it (that the sitaution can still be salvaged etc)..

Though maybe understandable for a somewhat weird sitaution (based on what you said), it may be bit reactionary and not constructive way to deal with it.

I would think being asked to step down would mean having something more to talk about, that its a suggestion etc. Instead of a demand, if its the latter it would be a demotion. And that would be pretty straight forward and not much to talk about.

I thought I made myself pretty clear in the mod thread. When Andries got a permanent ban I was against it because I believed that the Muslim members can easily put him on their ignore lists if they can't bear up with his "insults". Swag told me that Andries crossed the line many times and I really couldn't disagree with him, still I thought that his ban was wrong because many members are crossing the same line yet they always get away with a similar punishment.

But what does it have to do with doing a great moderating job? Burke is unbiased. He doesn't ban people for the matters he finds personal probably because he doesn't find anything personal. And this is, IMO, the first and the most important thing you should be expecting of a moderator.

Basically the whole thing had nothing to do with Burke, and was just another bring Seven back plea. You can expect more of those in the coming days/weeks/months :p
