Are you religious?
I a liberal muslim, who doesn't follow the rules perfectly. I believe religion should be a personal matter between the person and his/her god. I don't like religious who like to impose their own believes on others, and I enjoy to live my life. Religious people I know here on campus they treat me like I am an infidel because of the way I live ( I could careless), so I don't like to be around them.

No offense, DA but people who pick and choose what makes sense to them in their religions are one of the reasons I have no respect for religious people. I agree that following any religion completely is illogical but why claim to have faith and devotion if you just choose what pleases you, which btw most religious people do. It doesn't make sense to me.
what doesn't make sense to me is stoning to death or killing in the name of religion. I would never want to hurt a human being even if religion says so

Don't get me wrong, I like relaxed religious people way more than the strict ones it just doesn't make sense IMO to pick and choose something that you are supposed to have unquestioning faith.

I agree with all of that except following religion being illogical.

It's like my mums friend who's been married to this major prick for 35yrs,he's beaten her & cheated on her for ages.I asked her why she doesn't fight back, her answer was that the bible says a wife should obey her husband.

I asked her why she didn't divorce him & she said divorce is a sin.

That is complete idiocy & i'd understand if some woman decided to ignore that part but yeah either you follow your religion to the end & not decide what suits you best & be a complete hypocrite.

It's people that pick & choose certain things in a religion that use it to exploit other follows that are vulnerable & weak.

I thought he had admitted it sometime ago too
I don't pay attention to that stuff so I hadn't heard anything before it just seemed like a useless story to print IMO. A bit like having a news break claiming the sky is blue.

And now I'm sure plenty of idiotic fans will bash him and claim they never had any idea. Just like when Clay Aiken came out and there were fans saying they felt "betrayed", seriously how thick do you have to be surprised by that especially those who actually pay attention to star watch and crap like that.

    .
I never said following religion was illogical, I said following any religion "completely" was. On the contrary following religion is completely logical because it makes you happier and gives you something to believe in. I understand that facing the world without believing that there is any meaning to take from your life especially when horrible things happen is tough. Religion is great because it explains everything for you so you don't have to ponder the tough questions and it can be comforting to believe that the world is a just place with a system of morals that exists not just existentially.

Personally I have stopped questioning existence, no longer believe that morals are anymore than what we say they are and believe that there is no meaning to life. If I could believe in religion I would jump at the chance because it seems comforting but I can't convince myself of something I just don't believe in.

Just got up, had a shower, looked at the weather and decided to go back to bed.

Am I going to uni for just one class in a howling gale and driving sleet?

    Am I bollocks.
