The NAM doesn't seem to be grasping the storm well and the GFS is showing something quite different. We're only 18 hours from impact and it's not even certain that NYC and Northern Jersey will see any snow -- the models are not forming a consensus.

But what I have noticed from all the models and their runs is that the amount of expected precip remains the same over our area, 1 to 2 inches of liquid precip, which means 12 to 20 inches of snow. That consistency is good to see and could mean that our area and towards the East will be the epicenter of the storm.

Seems a bit like 93'. They didn't know which track the storm was going to take until it was dropping 2 ft of snow on the Great Smokey Mountains.

Yeah, the monsters tend to do that.

Check out this model run. The GFS is now wetter than the NAM, the latter being one that tends to overestimate.
