why to feel so superior to glasgow when it's about football (hell when you hear scotland, you automaticaly think at celtic and rangers)? i donno but those 2 can't be reached, can't be compared with the rest.
Aberdeen hate the Rangers because they're evil bastards who believe in killing people because of religion. Aberdeen residents may not have a better football team on the pitch, but are better men, women, and children in all other aspects of life.

Who said anything about football?

There are any number of ways in which I can (and do) look down my nose at Weegies.

Exactly.

We occupy the moral high ground.

:D

That trip to Munich was amazing.

A five day piss up with a bunch of mates and about 6,000 Dons fans. :touched:
Sounds brilliant.

Galway United's new manager promised us European football within the next three years when we met him last Tuesday. I thought it was a pretty brave thing to say. :shifty:

What qualifies you for Europe in Ireland and where do Galway usually finish?

It can't be as good as when the current Hearts owner said they would win the CL within about four years of his takeover (which was about six years ago). :lol2:

The league winner qualifies for CL qualifiers. Second and third place go into the EL qualifiers.

For the last two seasons we've narrowly avoided relegation.

If Ireland is anything like Scotland (outside the Old Firm), it doesn't take that much to go from 10th/11th to 4th/5th.

Aberdeen almost went from 10th to European football in Jimmy Calderwood's first season, but we'd invested cash and signed one of the best centre midfielders in the country to do it.

We got fucked over by Hibs and Rangers playing out a convenient result on the final day.

Yeah, it's the same here really.

Possibly the best midfielder in Ireland has a strange clause in his contract that says he can leave his current club for free and sign for whatever club our new manager is at. It remains to be seen if we can afford his wages though.

Hopefully your Board will be willing to release the funds to give the new coach the chance to do what he wants to the squad, to some extent, unlike happened with Aberdeen in the summer.
