My mom was a high school teacher in Detroit for 10 years. Back then, the city actually had some promise, but nowadays it's an irreconcilable disaster. The poor student test scores are not because of the teachers, but instead because of the overall environment, the most destitute city in the nation. To send teachers to jail because of poor, idiotic Bush-implemented test scores in an impoverished area is a farce, and lacks understanding of the situation.

If some believe teachers should be put in jail for this crap, then I say folks that talk nonsense about the city despite never visiting there should be round up and put in death camps.

Shep Smith is just another imbecile as well. His corpse would be ripe for heating Detroit homes.

Believe me, they start early. Every Friday night the local crowd meets up behind Papa John's, lighting up cigs, acting all cool being 7th graders. Then they go home to gel up their hair before bed, listening to Backstreet Boys.

No joke, they really do.

If I was Lippi, I'd make that wop bastard gel his hair up for all matches.
People still listen to the BSB? That's so 90s

Not much. My father moved me out of the neighborhood when I was very little, so I didn't really learn it like he did. I'm self teaching right now (with Rosetta Stone) in preparation for one day moving there. I'm about 9 years away from my time frame of actually moving though, so I'm not rushing it.

I am planning a trip there in late 2010 though, and hope to speak enough to get by before then.

I have several friends in Milan, as well as a little northwest of there in Domodossola. I actually would like to live in Rome though as my first choice, or I also have some connections in Napoli, although I'm not sure I would want to live there. The Amalfi coast is beautiful, but Napoli itself would be kind of like moving to Detroit :snoop:

Do you wanna go there for school or to settle down (find a wife, have kids, etc.)?
