Nah I didn't, pretty crazy he returned to the ice at the age of 51. Would have been sweet to see the game. Did you see it?
Apparently he embarrassed himself. Played first period and looked slow as fuck and then got benched the rest of the game. After the game he announced his retirement yet again. I just don't get why a legend like him would do something like this, he has nothing to gain.

Desperate to play and feel the thrill of being in the thick of it, I guess. Far from being alone to feeling like that, but perhaps acting out on it or being allowed to, and embarrassing himself like that, heh.

Wow, that's fucking crazy. If he was really that poor it's sad to hear. Not sure what he was thinking.

The bigger question is why Chris Chelios is still playing and embarrassing himself in AHL? Seriously, at 47 you should just stop playing, especially after winning the Stanley Cup with the Red Wings. Is it the money or for the love of the game?

Love of the game. Chelios is doing fine with his Chili Bar restaurants (which I love, just wish he'd be there when I go in), and I assume he didn't lose all his dough in the real estate or stock market.

Chris is one of the best competitors I have ever seen. He truly loves the game. If he didn't want a story book ending by winning the Cup and then retiring, so be it.

A player like Chelios shouldn't end up playing in the AHL. I don't know, but maybe he wants to beat Gordie Howes record?

THERE WE FUCKING GO. 2-1. Good job, Homer. Lets tie it up.
Do you follow the Detroit Pistons? I have a newfound interest in the team since Jonas Jerebko, our first Swede, entered the league. He's a huge fan of the Swedish players in the Red Wings and he's a fan of Lidas. There was a story about that in the Swedish papers, Zetterberg and the guys invite him for games and they go watch Jonas play.

That's good stuff.

I'm a Piston's fan considering I'm a Detroit sports fan in general, my family would have nothing less, but I'm not a basketball fan. I find the NBA to be quite boring, actually.

But I might go to a Piston's game during Christmas. Love Jerebko's fight, so do all our fans.
